Gender Incongruence: Emerging Adult Perceptions of Self-Identity, Gender, and Religious Identity

Hi! My name is Wendy Miller, and I am a doctoral student under the direction of Dr. Patricia Dolasinski, in the College of Doctoral Studies at Grand Canyon University. I am conducting a research study to explore how emerging adults with gender incongruence or dysphoria describe self-identity, gender, and religious identity.
I am recruiting individuals who meet the following criteria:
- You are between the ages of 18-25 years old.
- You are experiencing gender incongruence.
- You speak English and reside in the United States.
- You would like to share your personal views about self-identity, gender, and religious identity.
I will not need your participation if:
- If the criteria above do not apply to you.
The research activities will include:
- Voluntary Participation
- Participants who complete both the online questionnaire and interview are eligible to be selected by the researcher for a $50.00 Amazon Gift card, upon completion of approval of the interview transcript.
- Online Questionnaire
- Complete an online questionnaire which may take approximately 15 minutes.
- Online Interview
- Complete an online interview via videoconference, which may take approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
- Participant data in this study is confidential
- All personally identifiable information will be de-identified.
